Our Story
Hi, I’m Sophie!
I’m a self-taught baker and cake designer with a passion for creating beautiful cakes and sweet treats. My baking journey began in 2015 when I started making cakes from home for family and friends. What began as a hobby soon grew into selling at local farmers' markets and supplying cakes to local tea rooms.
Amelia Elizabeth Cakes is named after my youngest daughter, Amelia Elizabeth, and through the support of my wonderful customers and plenty of word of mouth, the business has grown into what it is today.
You can now find us on Park Road in St Annes, Lancashire, where we offer a delicious selection of takeaway cakes, bakes and drinks, as well as a cosy space to sit in and enjoy pastries, cream teas and other homemade treats.
We also stock a range of gifts and provide a bespoke cake service, creating beautifully designed cakes for birthdays, weddings and all of life's special celebrations.
For me, baking is about more than just cake, it's about helping people celebrate life's special moments and creating something memorable for every occasion.

At Amelia Elizabeth Cakes, everything I create is made with care, from start to finish, in my St Annes shop. I focus on simple, beautiful cakes that taste as good as they look, using quality ingredients and a lot of attention to detail.
I love working with buttercream finishes and creating designs that suit each customer and their celebration. Whether it’s a birthday, wedding or special occasion, every cake is made to feel personal and unique.
For me, it’s all about making cakes that bring people together and help make special moments even more memorable.

I'm a partner to Jamie and mum to two wonderful children, Amelia and George, and it was our daughter Amelia who inspired the name of our business. What started as baking cakes for family and friends back in 2015 has grown into my dream cake shop in St Annes.
I love creating beautiful buttercream cakes and sweet treats that help people celebrate life's special moments. Whether it's a birthday, wedding, baby shower or just because, every order is made with care, attention to detail, and a genuine love for baking.
